I set up my set a little differently this time. I didn't need the fabric behind the light because I had a black wall in the back room. I also moved the subject closer to the camera. but still behind the second screen. I also did the next shot in the series so I could get the draping of the fabric to be the same to represent one atmosphere or location. I couldn't figure out how to add a gel to the front light on the diagram but I do have a warm gel on the gridded light.

     Here is my result from last Monday's photo shoot, it is was successful and I am happy, and I hope you guys are too.

The first one that I've edited is the one I've had printed.

As the title implies, I am drastically changing my project. I was working with my shape dominated still lifes and realized that I was tired of working with geometric regular shapes and abstracts and that I needed to move in a more organic direction. Nothing is more organic than liquid, so I decided to make miniature sound sculptures out of paint. I did this by covering a dissected speaker in a thin rubber membrane and putting very thin paint down on it in three groups, red, yellow, and blue. I picked these because as the droplets converge midair, they can make a wide range of colors. I recorded myself making a "POP" noise with my mouth and played it very loudly through the speaker, resulting in the shower of drops you see in the images.

the idea is that from farther away it's an inkblot test and the closer you get the details start to reveal themselves. I want the editing to be a little different, less recognizable, but this is the kind of look I'm going for
